An AI search visibility checklist

A practical checklist RankAssistAI uses before recommending GEO, AEO, or technical work.

Before changing a website for AI search, it helps to know what systems can already see. This is the short checklist we use on a first audit.

Identity

  • Can a stranger tell what you sell from the homepage in one screen?
  • Is the organization name consistent across the site, schema, and major profiles?
  • Are you clearly distinct from similarly named companies?

Questions

  • Which prompts would a buyer actually type into ChatGPT or Google?
  • Do you have a page that answers each prompt directly?
  • Are claims backed by something a model could retrieve?

Technical

  • Do important URLs return 200, with canonicals that match the live path?
  • Is there useful structured data for Organization, Service, and (where true) FAQ?
  • Can internal links reach service and location pages without an orphaned sitemap-only URL?

Measurement

  • Which prompts will you re-check monthly?
  • What would count as progress besides “we hope ChatGPT mentions us”?

RankAssistAI’s Done-for-You plans exist because most teams do not have bandwidth to run this loop every month. If you want help prioritizing, book a 15-minute audit.
